This motor includes the adapter plate and the splined female armature shaft matches the male shaft of the drive unit, it simply bolts right in where the engine was – I would estimate 1-hour to remove engine, and 15 minutes to bolt motor in.
The spline data is:
11 teeth, pitch 16/32 30 degree with an ID of .6300 Merc/Mariner magnum drive units. Though we put ours on a 40HP, They are the same up to around 90 HP. < COST: (Motor, Adapter Plate and Bolts ONLY. Controller and Batteries extra). $2,250.00 for the 40HP version. >$2,500.00 for the 50HP version.
